The team handles both contentious and non contentious matters on behalf of a wide range of clients, from specialist subcontractors to large main contractors and from local councils to major development companies and banks.

We have extensive experience in the resolution of construction related disputes whether in mediation, adjudication, arbitration or litigation and ranging in value from under £10,000 to multi million pound claims. We have particular expertise in adjudication proceedings and in the enforcement of adjudicator’s awards. In addition, we run a specialist no win, no fee retention recovery service.

We are experts in the drafting and negotiation of all types of construction contracts, including sub-contracts, consultants’ appointments, building and engineering contracts and development and joint venture agreements. Our experience covers the full suite of JCT contracts (including the JCT sub-contract suite), ICE contracts, IChemE contracts, FIDIC contracts, DOM 1 & 2 and NEC contracts, amongst others.

We have developed a particular specialism in the drafting of development and funding agreements for commercial development projects, in particular social housing, hotel, office and student accommodation schemes. In addition we have gained a lot of recent experience in the renewable energy sector, advising developers and contractors on solar, on shore wind and anaerobic digestion plants, amongst others.

Our approach is partner led, friendly, hands on and intended to achieve one thing – success for our clients. We have a very flexible approach to fees and billing, offering no win no fee, fixed or capped fees, monthly “no questions asked” retainers and other arrangements to suit our clients’ requirements and budget.
