We strongly believe in giving something back by contributing to the community, proudly supporting many local and national charities both financially and with our time. Through a range of fundraising activities and local sponsorship we aim to make make a positive change and help create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity that will have a lasting impact.
our recent initiatives
clare mount school kenya trip
In April 2024, a group of students and teachers from Clare Mount Specialist Sports College embarked on a week-long volunteering trip to Kenya.
Organised through volunteer travel organisation TripsInAfrica, the school sent 15 students to volunteer at The Walk Centre where they helped repair classrooms and provide assistance around the school.
Here at Heatons, we wanted to do our bit to help, donating boxes filled with exercise books, pencil case kits, and clothing to support Clare Mount in their efforts to make a difference during their trip.
Who Let The Dogs Out?
When we were asked by Dog Detectives Ltd if they could use our warehouse and surrounding premises as part of their ongoing search dog training programme we were happy to oblige.
With a 5-acre training academy located near Chester, they are always on the lookout for local venues where they can take the dogs offsite for more experience and to help them adapt to a variety of different scenarios.
Dog Detectives have trained 1000’s of dogs over the past 20+ years and delivered them to all corners of the globe. With their incredible sense of smell and the ability to detect drugs, weapons and explosives, they are essential in the fight against crime and a vital part of search and detection teams across the world, including the United Nations.

roberts bakery’s brilliant school of baking
When we heard about Roberts Bakery's initiative, we sent our Account Manager Danny Burns along to donate a box of 1000 keyrings modelled after their famous medium loaf.
calday grammar school
We're delighted to have recently funded the new Calday Grammar School Year 7 Football Kit. The school boasts a long line of students that have gone on to become well known across the globe, none more famous than James Bond himself, also known as Daniel Craig.
caxton midlands group
We were more than happy to support our friends at Caxton’s with their food bank collection, donating a selection of biscuits to this great cause.
cancer research
We did our bit on footy kit Friday and wore our favourite football shirts to the office, helping to raise more than £80 for Cancer Research UK.
lancashire football association
We were proud to sponsor the U16 Girls Youth Cup Final and present the medals to all those taking part at the Lancashire FA County Ground in Leyland.
warrington youth zone
When we heard Clare from Kids Planet Day Nurseries was fundraising by climbing Kilimanjaro, we were more than happy to donate T-shirts, jackets and raincoats.
the brain tumour charity
We donated t-shirts to Amy at Anwyl Homes, whose son and friends were taking part in the charity ‘Run for Bobby’ to raise money and awareness for this great cause.

We asked people to wear something bright to the office on Rainbow Friday and make a small donation in support of Pride Month raising money for two local lgbtq+ charities.
stop violence against women & girls
We helped Russell Taylor Group support this local initiative with Merseyside Police and Leasowe United, by donating printed banners and branded merchandise for the players.
Local Litter Pick
We collected more than 15 full bags of rubbish on a litter pick at Eastham Woods and Leverhulme Sports Fields.
Staff together with their families collected, amongst other things, old fireworks, plastic bags and empty drink cans, left behind by litterbugs.
Litter picking is a key way to prevent plastics from breaking down and entering the food chain as microplastics, as well as creating cleaner, greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.
“Hopefully, we made a small contribution to improve the environment on our doorstep, as well as protecting local wildlife, like hedgehogs and swans often injured by the rubbish people leave behind. It’s a great way to encourage our little ones to care for nature and help them understand they can make a big difference. They looked like they enjoyed it too!”

We were pleased to support this schools project which raises awareness of domestic abuse, donating pencils the children could use and then keep as a thank you.

It’s a charity close to our heart which gives support and counselling to families when a loved one dies and we’re proud to contribute to this important cause.

We donated £300 to the school's Christmas Panto, Robin Hood, including some unexpected audience participation from Danny Burns, Account Manager.

We donated flags for the school's parade which aimed to help children understand that every person is unique and their differences should be celebrated.

We were all keen to do our bit for red nose day by wearing something red to the office and with everyone working from home joining in, we raised over £80.

We were delighted to give a a banner and some flyers to help our friends promote their event to raise money for this fantastic children's charity.

We donated £250 of educational supplies to Rock Ferry Primary School in support of The Thumbs Up Education Programme and the amazing work they do.
alzheimer’s society
We were more than happy to join in the festive fun in support of Elf Day, raising awareness and more than £100 for people affected by dementia.
macmillan cancer support
Did somebody say cake? We didn't need to be asked twice to bring in our bakes as part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising over £280.

unprecedented times during covid
The covid-19 pandemic turned the world upside down and presented challenges that our generation have never faced before. These challenges forced us to pull together in order to push through it and out of adversity emerged a host of amazing stories showing goodwill and support to those who needed it most.
Heatons were more than happy to help where we could.
